We will schedule a call to discuss your project and our services and answer questions. If your project seems a fit for full-service design, we will schedule an onsite consultation.
If we determine your project is well suited for consultation services, we will submit an agreement to you as well as an invoice for the deposit. Once signed and paid, we will schedule your project.

For full-service, lead times are generally at least 3-4 months to begin design. For consultation, we can typically kick off projects sooner depending on time of year and the scope of your project. Note, lead times get longer as the year progresses and you’ll see updates on our Inquiry Form. Full-service design takes an average of 6-8 months to complete design and planning, prior to construction. Full-service styling (furniture and accessories only) can take 6-8 months to installation. Our consultation services are generally wrapped in 60-90 days.

Our most robust offering, Sparrow will deliver a fully realized, end-to-end transformation of your home or business in concert with your construction team. From concept to completion, we thoughtfully orchestrate every design detail, guiding you as your designer, design project manager and advocate.
During design, we take time to get to know your lifestyle and aspirations, blending them with our signature aesthetic, and the unique voice of your home or business to shape a vision that feels deeply personal. From space planning and layouts, to custom finishes, and beautiful furnishings and accessories, we select and procure every element with artfulness and care. We are your point of contact during design, streamlining the process for you and your team. During construction, we work with your contractor to ensure design execution, resolve challenges, and safeguard design integrity.
Full-service design is an investment in a distinguished process and, ultimately, in spaces that are deeply personal, approachably elegant, and unforgettable.

We schedule new full-service projects a few months from inquiry. Once we begin, design + planning typically takes 6-8 months, and longer for larger or more complex projects. If you are considering starting a construction project in the next 12-18 months, we recommend reaching out as soon as possible.
Project minimum for full-service remodel design is $250,000. This represents a budget prior to assessing a design fee. Project minimum for new construction is accessed per project and based on budget/square foot.
To give prospective clients a sense of cost, residential projects we design have cost an average of $350/SF to remodel. It is generally lower for living spaces without major electrical, mechanical or plumbing components, and may increase for spaces that emphasize those (kitchens, bathrooms, etc.), as well as spaces with significant custom work and/or home additions. New clients should be prepared to discuss budget with their designer.

A major remodel isn’t the only way to transform your home. Thoughtful space planning and professional styling can transform your space, elevate how you live, and enhance the experience and the joy you feel in your home with your family.
Similar to full-service design for construction, we guide every step—from crafting a vision to exploring the best layouts, and then designing custom furniture, window treatments, and lighting. Clients benefit from exclusive access to our artisan and vendor network. We manage furniture and accessory commissions and procurement with meticulous care. Once everything is ordered, we collaborate with our storage and delivery company, manage installation and provide final styling—ensuring your home feels effortlessly layered and confidently curated. Each design is tailored for your home with enduring quality and distinctive style.
Full-service styling may include light finish refinements such as new paint, wallpaper, custom millwork, plumbing trim, and lighting upgrades.

This is our premiere design service for furniture and accessories design and procurement. Like remodel design, we typically schedule new projects a few months out; and once we begin, we generally have furniture and accessories designed, sourced, and installed within 6 months.
We serve clients with a wide range of soft goods budgets, but our minimum to provide full-service styling is $25,000 per standard room (may be averaged out across multiple rooms) to put toward a full suite of furniture and accessories. If your project doesn’t mean this minimum, we can layout and source furniture with our Style a Room Package offering (see below).

Our Consultative Design Services offer a more accessible service but still sophisticated approach to elevating your space during the design phase of your project. Most residential consultation projects are suited to one of the two thoughtfully crafted packages outlined below. Commercial consultation is provided with our Design Concierge Service (Option 2).
Style-A-Room
for elegant Sparrow-caliber rooms without the significant investment of full-service design
Your designer will work with you to define the use, purpose and style of your rooms. She will will provide you with a well defined Pinterest board, furniture layouts, product boards showing everything together, and shoppable lists for you to purchase on your timeline and achieve the look of a professionally designed home.
SAR can be provided to clients in any location, as Sparrow does everything remotely using virtual tools such as shared Google albums and folders, video calls, Pinterest, digital mood boards and clickable shopping lists.

SR clients receive 2-3 furniture concepts per room, at least one layout per concept, and a product board and shopping list for you to purchase the exact furniture and accessories recommended OR to use as a guide to find alternatives.
As our client partner, you take photos and measurements and handle any sampling and ordering of all products. This package is for furniture and accessories in a residential setting only and also does not include remodel advising.

The package fee is $1,850 per standard-sized residential room (customized pricing on larger or multi-use rooms.) Payment for your package is due at the time of agreement signing to schedule.
On average, you can expect to have your final styling package within 3 weeks (per room) of kick off.

The goals of this service vary greatly from client to client. We invite you to discuss the support you’re looking for on the initial call. Unlike SR, as a concierge, your designer can go onsite if projects are local.
A major indicator of success with this service is our clients’ level of partnership. DC is very client-driven, with Sparrow as design advisor. This means, our clients are responsible for managing all project parties and for tracking, updating and communicating all finish decisions to the contractor prior to and during construction. With consultation, Sparrow does not create construction or permit plans or work directly with contractors or fabricators before or during construction. This is reserved for full-service design.

This is an hourly service offering that begins with a retainer. At a starting minimum of 10 hours to be used within 30 days, it is $1,750 for residential projects and $2,000 for commercial. If we expect the scope to take more time, we will provide an estimate. In our experience, consultations for kitchens and bathrooms take at least 15-20 hours, and you may elect to purchase more to secure additional time beyond 30 days as well as to reduce the number of invoices. However there is no requirement to purchase more than the minimum.
Depending on the number of hours purchased, the initial retainer is good for 30-60 days from our start time. If you wish to continue with support beyond that time and those hours, we ask you to purchase one more bank of hours. By doing so, we may extend the contract. Remaining hours will be billed when the work is complete. Concierge services don’t exceed 120 days.
This offering is highly client-driven, and deliverables depend on the client and the project. With the short timeline, we recommend being organized with what you need from us to make the most of your investment!

consultation for home and business owners, providing exclusive access to a sparrow designer for your unique project
As your concierge designer, we support the design phase of a new build or remodel by reviewing floorplans and recommending finishes such as tile, countertop, paint, wallpaper, light fixtures, flooring style, plumbing trim and furniture and accessories. We shrink the overwhelming universe of options and put together designer-caliber combinations to ensure your remodel will be confident, beautiful and enduring.
As design advisors, we work with our clients’ drafters or architects to consult on and review construction and lighting plans, discuss layouts, and provide materials to your drafter for color elevations and renderings. If you are interested in any custom features such as built-ins, furniture or window treatments, we can provide recommendations on styles and fabrics and support you in making decisions with your fabricator.
