Completed in October 2025, this complete kitchen and large deck remodel bridges the heritage of a 1917 Washington State Craftsman home with the welcoming spirit of modern living. Our design honors the home's roots—we used warm, mid-tone wood cabinetry as a nod to craftsman devotion to natural materials and handcraft. While clean, flat-front cabinet doors and concrete-style counters quietly reference the clients’ appreciation for midcentury and contemporary style, offering both simplicity and a fresh, functional execution.

Instead of recessed lighting, we chose only flush-mount fixtures and sconces that provide a soft, even glow—respecting the home’s proportions and echoing period-appropriate lighting solutions. Handmade tile in two bespoke colorways completes the full wall backsplashes and custom coffee nook, a distinctive and personal touch inspired by Arts and Crafts reverence for the artisan’s skill and handmade items over those manufactured in mass.

Carefully selected accents in brass and classic appliances offer a timeless feel, while sleek plumbing profiles and flush cabinet edge pulls reference contemporary design, drawing the old and new together. The space feels rooted, inviting, and distinctly personal—a kitchen where craftsmanship and modern style meet with ease. And where our clients feel truly at home.
